Privacy Policy

Account information. When you create an account we collect your name, email address, and a securely hashed password. If you sign in with Google, we receive your name and email address from Google.

Your portfolio. The products you track, your purchase lots (quantity, cost, and date), and any notes you add. This is yours; we use it only to show you your holdings, value, and returns.

Price alerts. If you set a price alert, we store your email address and the alert you configured (the product and your price thresholds). You can set alerts without an account.

Usage and device data. Like most websites, we automatically receive your IP address, browser type, pages viewed, and similar log data, collected by our hosting provider to operate and secure the service.

Cookies. We use essential cookies to keep you signed in and to remember a confirmed alert email on your device. We do not use advertising cookies, and we do not run ads.

• Provide and maintain the tracker and price reference.
• Calculate your cost basis, market value, and returns.
• Send transactional emails (alert notifications, email confirmations, and account messages).
• Secure, debug, and improve the service.
• Comply with legal obligations.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for third-party advertising.

We share limited data with vendors that help us run bench.cx, under agreements that limit their use of it:

• Cloudflare (hosting, content delivery, and security).
• Neon (database hosting, in the United States).
• Resend (delivery of our emails).
• Google (only if you choose to sign in with Google).

Our pricing data comes from third-party sources (such as PokemonPriceTracker and Scrydex). We receive product and price data from them; we do not send them your personal information.

We keep your information while your account is active. You can delete your account or unsubscribe from alerts at any time. To request deletion of your data, email us at support@bench.cx. Some records may be retained where required by law.

• Access or correct your account information in the app.
• Unsubscribe from any alert email using its unsubscribe link.
• Request access, correction, or deletion of your data by emailing support@bench.cx.

Depending on where you live (for example, the EEA, the UK, or California), you may have additional rights. We honor valid requests.

We protect data in transit with HTTPS and store passwords only as salted hashes. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your information.

bench.cx is operated from, and stores data in, the United States. If you use the service from outside the US, you consent to your information being processed in the US.

bench.cx is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information.

We may update this policy. We will change the “Last updated” date above and, for material changes, take reasonable steps to notify you.
